Willie has always been an entrepreneur at heart. Growing up on a farm in South Africa, his only dream as a young boy was to farm alongside his father.

After finishing school, university, and his military service in South Africa, Willie’s dream came true. He joined his father on the farm, ready to cultivate a life deeply rooted in the land. But the following years brought real financial hardship – droughts, falling produce prices, and a tough economic environment. The struggles became so intense that they reached a point where tough decisions had to be made to survive. They were forced to sell the farm. The boyhood dream to farm was gone.

Faced with this unexpected turn, Willie and his young family embarked on a new journey. Over the years, he worked in different industries, always as an employee. Yet his entrepreneurial spirit never waned, always searching for opportunities to start his own business. Through financial and emotional trials, valuable lessons were learned, shaping Willie into the resilient person he is today.

A firm believer in building assets that generate passive income, this philosophy became Willie’s driving force. As a serial entrepreneur, he built numerous successful businesses in South Africa and expanded his efforts to help others build their own assets. Through his journey, he gained immense knowledge about what works and what doesn’t in the entrepreneurial world. Willie realized that his new dream wasn’t just to build his own assets but to help others do the same.

This realization led to the founding of IKHAYA Real Estate. With a vision to start and own a real estate company that values high moral standards, integrity, and lasting client relationships, Willie’s dream has come to life in the UAE.
